Platforms — Instagram

Three formats, one plan, no midnight uploads.

Instagram is the network where the format decides the work. A carousel, a Reel and a single image are three different jobs — and all three tend to be finished the night before. Planning them together is most of the fix.

Formats

A carousel is not a caption with extra pictures

Each Instagram format has its own preparation. A carousel needs an order that makes sense as someone swipes. A Reel needs the video finished and the opening seconds to earn the rest. A single image carries everything in one frame.

Pheonix Solutions keeps all three in the same composer and the same calendar, so the difference between them stays a creative decision rather than three different scheduling problems.

  • Single image posts, composed and scheduled like any other
  • Carousels assembled and ordered before they are queued
  • Reels uploaded, captioned and published on schedule
  • Media pulled from the shared library rather than re-uploaded

Planning

See the grid as a month, not as a backlog

Instagram rewards consistency more obviously than most networks, and consistency is a planning problem rather than a creative one. The gap is almost never a shortage of ideas — it is that nobody could see the gap coming.

Content sits on a shared calendar with everything else you publish, so the week with three Reels and the fortnight with nothing are both visible while there is still time to fix either.

Calendar
Instagram alongside the other five networks, in one view.
Queues
Posting times set once; new content takes the next free slot.
Drafts
Work in progress visible to the team, not stuck on one phone.
Review
A caption can be approved before it is public, not after.

The honest part

What a network allows is not always what it shows you.

Instagram exposes less through its API than it shows inside the app, and that is Meta’s decision rather than a gap in any tool. Some things you can see in the app are simply not available to a connected application.

Our position on that is to be explicit. Where a metric or a format is not available, the product says so — which is more useful than a number that looks precise and was invented.

What the workspace adds

  • Preparation

    The work before the caption

Media uploaded once into the workspace library, carousels ordered in advance, and drafts that other people can actually open — so the Reel is not finished at eleven the night before.

  • Consistency

    A rhythm you set deliberately

Per-account posting times mean the cadence is a decision made once, rather than something that depends on whoever remembers to post.

  • Reading it back

    Formats compared against each other

Reporting covers the insights Meta makes available, on the same timeline as your other networks, so a format can be judged against an alternative rather than in isolation.

Workflow

From an idea to a published Reel

  1. Connect the Professional account

Authorise Pheonix Solutions through Meta’s permission flow. If the account is still personal, converting it inside Instagram is the first step.

  2. Put the media in the library

Upload the images or the finished video once. They are then available to any post, in any workspace you have access to.

  3. Choose the format and compose

Single image, carousel or Reel. Order a carousel, write the caption, and adapt the copy if the idea is also going elsewhere.

  4. Get it approved

Send the draft for review where your workspace requires it. Feedback goes on the post, not into a separate thread.

  5. Publish on schedule

Pheonix Solutions posts it at the time you set. Nobody has to be holding a phone when it goes out.

  6. Reply and review

Comments arrive in the shared inbox; available insights land in reporting for the period.

FAQ

Instagram questions

What kind of Instagram account do I need?

A Professional account — Business or Creator. Instagram’s publishing API is only available to Professional accounts, so a personal account has to be converted before any tool can post to it. Converting is free and done inside Instagram.

Can Reels be scheduled?

Yes. Reels are scheduled the same way as a feed post: upload the video, write the caption, pick the slot. The video is published by Pheonix Solutions at the time you set rather than needing someone in the app.

Are carousels supported?

Yes. Multiple images are assembled into a carousel in the composer, ordered before it is scheduled, and published as one post.

Why does Instagram not report everything my other networks do?

Because Meta decides what the Instagram API exposes, and it is a narrower set than some networks publish. Pheonix Solutions reports what is genuinely available and marks the rest unavailable rather than filling the gap with an estimate.
